L.Garde has developed a Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI) panel that can be integrated or retrofitted into existing shelter walls.  The MLI panel is constructed from a series of thin metalized polymeric film sheets that are strategically bonded together so that, when deployed, creates a multi-layer cellular structure. Features of the MLI panel are listed below:

  • R-value of 9.89 ft2 x oF x hr / BTU,
  • Weight of 8.77 oz/yd2
  • Can be folded and stowed to 1/125 or deployed volume (12 in. x 12 in. example shown above)

L.Garde has a long heritage of analytical capabilities especially in the area of light-weight structures that include large, deployable, and ultra-thin membrane structures. L.Garde uses a range of computational tools to complement our highly talented human capital with years of accumulated specialized knowledge and skills.
