KSC Integration
Spartan was received on Saturday, March 16th at Kennedy Space Center. Payload arrival inspections went well. Baseline mechanical and electrical close-out were completed in order to prepare the spacecraft for functional testing.

| The RF cart was programmed and prepared for the Phase I orbiter Interface Verification Test (IVT). The RF cart was placed under the orbiter to transmit Spartan Flight-like signal to the orbiter using flight spare components. The Phase I IVT was successful. |

Phase II IVT used a Remote Engage Mechanism (REM) simulator case. The case was modified to support orbiter connection and lengthen the run time of the flight-like motors housed within the REM GSE. Phase II IVT completed successfully. |
The Spacecraft was lifted onto the flight REM base several times to adjust the turnbuckle preloads completing the REM fit checks. |
| The spacecraft was configured for a full 8 hour mission simulation using all simulation equipment including the RF cart, pyro simulators and a flight BIA. The full mission simulation completed successfully. |
