Configuration of IAE

Spartan was received on Saturday, March 16th at Kennedy Space Center. Payload arrival inspections went well. Baseline mechanical and electrical close-out were completed in order to prepare the spacecraft for functional testing.

The RF cart was programmed and prepared for the Phase I orbiter Interface Verification Test (IVT). The RF cart was placed under the orbiter to transmit Spartan Flight-like signal to the orbiter using flight spare components. The Phase I IVT was successful.
	Phase II IVT used a Remote Engage Mechanism (REM) simulator case. The case was modified to support orbiter connection and lengthen the run time of the flight-like motors housed within the REM GSE. Phase II IVT completed successfully.
	The Spacecraft was lifted onto the flight REM base several times to adjust the turnbuckle preloads completing the REM fit checks.
The spacecraft was configured for a full 8 hour mission simulation using all simulation equipment including the RF cart, pyro simulators and a flight BIA. The full mission simulation completed successfully.
